The suspect was identified as Ever Marquez, 31, of Pacoima, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
On Aug. 4, the victim was walking with her dog and was on the roadway when they were struck by a driver near Osborne and Haddon Streets around 8:10 p.m.

“Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves,” LAPD officials said. “Pedestrians are also reminded to use crosswalks when crossing streets and to do so in a safe manner as to not pose a hazard to vehicles.”
