Loved ones are desperately searching for a Southern California mother, Adriana Rodriguez, 40, who was last seen on April 17.

“It hurts,” said Valerie Rodriguez, Adriana’s daughter. “It hurts me and my brother.”

Her mother, Leticia, said the last time they spoke, Adriana was asking for the address of Pepe’s, a restaurant in Downey located on the 9000 block of Telegraph Road.

Adriana wanted to visit the restaurant but her car wasn’t working at the time, so she told her mother she would find a ride with someone else.

That would be the last time anyone would hear from her.

When Leticia couldn’t reach her that night, she went to Adriana’s home in Lynwood. Inside, all of Adrianna’s personal belongings were left behind.

She left the house with only her cell phone and it appeared she was in the middle of doing laundry at the time.

Her loved ones are devastated and left with so many unanswered questions as they continue their search, hoping to bring her home.

“She was a funny person,” Valerie said of her mother. “She would always give us gifts, even if we didn’t want them. She was always that type of person.”

Homicide detectives are investigating the case, saying at this point, it remains unclear whether foul play was involved.

“Our detectives have been working this case since April when Adriana went missing,” said Sgt. Mike Rodriguez with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. “We’re trying to keep all of our investigative options open. We’re not ruling anything out. We welcome any information so we can bring a safe closure to her family.”

Adriana’s family and friends held a press conference in Downey on Thursday, asking law enforcement to allocate more resources to find the missing mother.

“It’s been very tough these months without her and I wish I could spend more time with her,” Valerie said tearfully. “I try to stay strong and pray for us to find her.”

Adriana is described as a Hispanic female standing 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing around 130 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call LASD’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500.
