A suspect was arrested after a man was fatally shot outside a Glendale shopping plaza Saturday.
Glendale police responded to reports of gunfire on the 500 block of West Colorado Street at around 3 p.m.
Arriving officers found a man lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The suspect had fled the area.
At around 9 p.m., police located the suspected shooter and took them into custody.
Photos from the scene show the shopping plaza, which included a 7-Eleven, a UPS store and a barber shop, was cordoned off by police tape as emergency vehicles surrounded the parking lot.
The circumstances surrounding the deadly shooting remain unclear.
The case remains under investigation by homicide detectives. Neither the victim’s nor the suspect’s identies were released.
