A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found dead in a San Bernardino County home.

On June 9, Colton police conducted a welfare check at a mobile home complex at 2250 West Mill Street at 3:40 p.m.

Police knocked on the front door, but nobody answered. After forcing entry into the home, they found the resident, identified only as an adult male, dead at the scene.

The circumstances surrounding his death, including the nature of his injuries, were not released. Detectives only confirmed that the case is being investigated as a homicide. 

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
