Four people were found with gunshot wounds, including a deceased minor, after police received a 911 call in the Inland Empire early Tuesday.
The call came from the 400 block of Steiner Drive regarding a disturbance that was taking place shortly before 2 a.m. “Moments later, the caller indicated someone had been shot,” the Hemet Police Department posted in a news release.
Arriving officers were unable to locate a shooting victim, but two victims later turned up with gunshot wounds at Hemet Global Medical Center. Both were taken to a nearby trauma center with critical injuries, according to the release.
“Two more gunshot victims were contacted on their way to the hospital. Inside the vehicle, officers found a deceased juvenile male,” police said. The identity of the fatally struck minor was not released. The other victim was taken by ambulance to a nearby trauma center.
Police said the investigation remains active and no arrests have been made.
