Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck a pedestrian near the USC campus.
On Oct. 1, the suspect was speeding in a black car when they hit the victim, who was walking on a marked crosswalk near Vermont Avenue and 36th Street around 10:10 p.m.
Surveillance video released by the Los Angeles Police Department showed the victim was pushed onto the vehicle’s hood before falling onto the roadway.
Several nearby pedestrians were also crossing the street and quickly ran out of the way, narrowly avoiding the suspect’s vehicle.
The driver continued speeding away and did not stop to check on the injured pedestrian. Police do not have a description of the suspect.
A reward of up to $25,000 is available for anyone who provides information leading to the suspect’s identification, apprehension and conviction.
