Police have released security camera footage of a hit-and-run collision that killed a bicyclist Monday night in North Hollywood.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division released video of the incident, which occurred around 10:50 p.m. July 21 on Lankershim Boulevard just south of Arminta Street.

The footage, available here, shows the moments before a white pickup truck struck a bicyclist who was crossing outside a crosswalk. The driver did not stop and continued southbound on Lankershim.

The victim, described as a 52-year-old white male, was transported by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Authorities are hoping the video will generate leads. A city reward of up to $50,000 is available for information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect.
