An alleged burglar was taken into police custody in South Los Angeles late Tuesday morning after their getaway attempt ended in a crash with a parked car.
The pursuit began as a reported burglary near Jefferson Boulevard and La Brea Avenue in West Adams just after 10:45 a.m., the Los Angeles Police Department said.
About half an hour later, the vehicle crashed near 99th and Main streets in the Broadway-Manchester area of South Los Angeles.
Aerial footage from Sky5 showed major front-end damage to the vehicle, a dark-colored Tesla, and a damaged SUV parked on the roadside.
Police remained in the area, apparently pursuing at least one other person after the crash.
