Three people were detained after police responding to a home-invasion robbery in the San Fernando Valley tracked the suspect vehicle to a residence in Compton.

The break-in was reported Monday night at a home on Greenleaf Street in Sherman Oaks.

Investigators said a woman was still inside the home when at least two armed suspects broke in and escaped with a large bag filled with valuable items.

The woman was not believed to be physically harmed in the incident.

There was no immediate word on what specifically was taken during the break-in.

A black car that was said to be involved in the break-in was tracked by officers back to a home in Compton.

Three people got out and ran after abandoning the car on 152nd Sreet. Aerial video from Sky5 showed the suspects running as officers arrived.

The suspects were later taken into custody and identified as:

  • Dion Hill, 24, who has seven prior felony arrests
  • Isaiah Rankins, 22, who has two prior felony arrests
  • Juan Carlos Gonzales, 21

At one point, an officer was seen reaching under the suspect vehicle to retrieve what appeared to be a tracking device.

The incident remains under investigation.
