Three people were injured after a multi-vehicle crash involving two Metro buses in downtown Los Angeles Wednesday.

Los Angeles police responded to the crash near 111 S Grand Avenue around 4:17 p.m.

Footage from the scene showed that a bus had driven onto a sidewalk and crashed into the restaurant patio outside Walt Disney Concert Hall.

The second bus and a third car, a Mercedes SUV, remained in the middle of the road on Grand Avenue. The SUV had significant damage to its front end.

Three people were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

The collision also caused a gas leak which was fixed by firefighters shortly after. No other people, including pedestrians, were injured during the crash.

The cause of the crash remains unclear.

“Metro extends its wishes for a speedy recovery to those injured and thanks the Los Angeles Police and Fire Departments for their assistance,” Metro officials said in a statement.

The incident remains under investigation by the LAPD.
