A suspect was arrested after a man was found dead at a Pico Rivera residence Wednesday.
Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of an unresponsive person at a residence on the 8000 block of Telegraph Road around 4 a.m.
Authorities found the victim, identified only as a man in his late 60s, dead at the scene. A person of interest, a man in his 40s who also lived at the home, was detained.
During the investigation, probable cause was established and the detained man was arrested for murder. He remains in custody on $2 million bail.
Details on the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident, including the victim’s injuries or how the suspect and victim were known to each other, were not released.
A motive for the homicide remains unclear. Authorities have not released the identities of the parties involved.
