A suspect was arrested after a man was found shot to death in San Bernardino.
The suspect was identified as David Castillo Jr., 44, according to the San Bernardino Police Department.
On July 4, police responded to a shooting on the 100 block of North Arrowhead Avenue shortly before 4:30 p.m.
Arriving officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. His identity was not released.
The suspect fled the area before police arrived. Following an investigation, homicide investigators later identified Castillo as the suspected gunman.
On July 15, Castillo was located in San Bernardino, where he was taken into custody. No further details, including a motive or whether the suspect and victim were known to each other, were released.
“Detectives are attempting to identify any additional witnesses who may have been in the area when the shooting occurred,” police said.
