Police are investigating after a man suspected of stealing from a Home Depot in Glendale was found dead in the store’s parking lot.

On Friday, Glendale police responded to a medical emergency at the store on 5040 San Fernando Road shortly after 8 a.m.

The suspect, who was only identified as a man in his 40s, had been pulled from his vehicle by a good Samaritan who noticed signs of a possible health issue.

Glendale Fire Department crews responded and administered aid to the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the death remains under investigation, however, Glendale police detectives said they do not suspect foul play at this time.

Police said before the man died, he had allegedly entered the Home Depot store and was involved in a theft alongside a second male suspect who had fled the scene before officers arrived.

No further details, including the man’s identity, were released as the death remains under investigation.
