A small child was seen ambling through a McDonald’s parking lot in the San Fernando Valley well past his bedtime Tuesday morning.

The toddler was spotted wandering the streets near Sherman Way and Sepulveda Boulevard in Van Nuys around 1:30 a.m., according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Cervantes.

Video obtained by KTLA shows officers speaking to the young boy while he was sitting on the side of the parking lot after they appeared to have purchased him a McChicken, fries and a juice box.

He was not wearing any shoes or pants, just a shirt and a diaper.

Officers eventually took him to the Van Nuys station, where he was reunited with his grandmother “safe and sound” at 4:30 a.m., Officer Cervantes said.

No information on how the child got out was released.
