The USC men’s basketball commit who was put into a medically induced coma after crashing his Cybertruck last week has recovered enough to be discharged from the hospital.

Alijah Arenas, son of former NBA star Gilbert Arenas, will be discharged “very soon,” according to the co-host of the elder Arenas’ podcast, “Gil’s Arena.”

Alijah Arenas had been put into a coma after last week’s crash of his Cybertruck, during which he inhaled smoke.

His vehicle hit a fire hydrant and a tree, and onlookers pulled him from the vehicle.

Smoke inhalation aside, though, Arenas made it through the crash relatively well, and he suffered no major bodily injuries. Now, he’s “doing much better,” co-host Josiah Johnson said.

“I don’t know if y’all are religious out there, but we were all sending prayers these past couple of days,” Johnson added. “I appreciate everybody who was sending prayers out to Gil and the family as well. So, we want to continue to send those.”

Arenas is a blue-chip recruit who’s expected to make a significant impact for the Trojans this fall.
