A woman is in critical condition after being struck by gunfire in Los Angeles’ El Sereno neighborhood early Wednesday.
The shooting was reported just after 12:30 a.m. as the victim was standing near Templeton Street and Pueblo Avenue.
A Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson said the victim, a 33-year-old woman, told officers she heard a gunshot and then realized she had been hit.
The unidentified woman was transported to a local hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.
No information regarding the suspect or any suspect vehicle that may have been involved has been released.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
