A suspect remains on the run after a man was found shot in Montclair.

On April 2, Montclair Police responded to an assault with a deadly weapon on the 5100 block of Bandera Street at 10:25 p.m.

Arriving officers found the victim, identified only as an adult male, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. 

The shooter, who is wanted for attempted murder, was last seen fleeing the area on foot, police said. 

He is described as a Black man in his early 30s who stands about 6 feet tall and weighs around 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark sweatshirt.

No further details on the circumstances surrounding the shooting were released. A reward of up to $1,000 is available to anyone who provides information leading to the suspect’s identification and arrest.
