You have to give Samsung credit for trying new things.

The company offers a full lineup – from the top-of-the-line ultra to foldable phones, watches, and even a smart ring.

Now there’s a slim new addition to the portfolio: The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge.

It’s under 6 millimeters thin – and so light, it almost feels fake.

I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and it puts a fresh spin on the traditional smartphone.

You still get the power you need: The latest Snapdragon chip, 12 gigabytes of RAM, plenty of storage and a large, bright screen.

The phone never slowed down- it handled everyday tasks just fine.

While I still prefer Pixel’s (cleaner) approach to software, Samsung has come a long way- it’s smooth, customizable, and packed with helpful features. Having Gemini AI on tap is excellent.

The big selling point here is the form factor – slim, light, futuristic. I can’t believe how heavy the iPhone seems in comparison.

The Edge comfortable to hold, but I’d still recommend a case to avoid drops. Also, you can get one with a magnetic ring built in so you can take advantage of MagSafe style wireless charging and magnetic accessories.

Because of its size, the battery isn’t huge – you may notice by late afternoon. But I never had issues charging it up. Samsung phones charge fast, and overall battery life wasn’t a problem.

Camera-wise, the Edge has two lenses – wide and ultra wide, but no dedicated zoom.

The photos I took looked excellent – sharp, detailed, and consistently impressive in good light.

The selfie camera has a slightly wider field of view – so you can fit more people in the frame.

Zoom is the weak spot – you get 2x, 4x, and 10x options, but they can’t match the quality of a real telephoto lens.

One thing I did notice – the Edge runs a little warmer than other phones I’ve tested, but it didn’t affect performance.

Bottom line – the Galaxy S25 Edge makes some tradeoffs for that ultraslim design – but if a lightweight form factor is what you’re after, this phone won’t weigh you down and still delivers a high-end experience.

The Edge is on sale now starting at $1100 for a 256 gigabyte model – be sure to check the latest deals to down on that price.
