Disneyland’s Critter Country will receive a new name this holiday season.
The land will soon be known as Bayou Country when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens on Nov. 15
“Bayou Country is situated on the edge of New Orleans Square with shady trees, mesmerizing music and a vast collection of enchanting surprises. Guests will discover a land filled with friendly woodland animals, from a trumpet-playing gator and an adorable bear who craves honey to a musical cast of bears, frogs, and other critters,” a Disney Parks Blog said.
In the land, guests can still experience The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh attraction and Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes. Guests can also visit the reimagined Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree restaurant, shop at Ray’s Berets and Louis’ Critter Club and enjoy treats at Pooh Corner.
The land has been closed since May 1.
This isn’t the first time the land’s name has changed.
The land was once known as Bear Country, former home to Disneyland’s Country Bear Jamboree attraction, before it was later changed to Critter Country ahead of the opening of Splash Mountain in 1989.
