Disneyland visitors will once again be able to greet the grim grinning ghosts, along with Jack and Sally, after the Haunted Mansion Holiday reopened on Monday.

This year, the popular attraction re-opened with a virtual queue as crews continue to work on an expanded outdoor queue and new store.

Construction began in January, with the new additions expected to “build on the story and lore of the Haunted Mansion.”

The expansion will be a welcome addition for guests since the walkways in New Orleans Square, where the Haunted Mansion ride is located, can become congested.

Haunted Mansion fans will be happy to know that the pet cemetery and horse-drawn funeral hearse will still be located on the attraction grounds, the Disney Parks Blog announced last year.

Guests with disabilities can also utilize a new elevator exit when they ride the attraction.

Disneyland visitors can request to join the ride’s virtual queue at 7 a.m. or noon via the Disneyland app.

The ride’s July re-opening date is much earlier than what’s typically expected. Usually, the ride reopens in late August to coincide with the resort’s Halloween season.
