It’s no surprise that Americans love baseball, as it is the second most popular sport behind football. However, a new WalletHub study sought to find out which city is the best for baseball fans.

The personal finance company compared 333 of the largest U.S. cities with at least one professional or college baseball team, grouped by division.

In each city, researchers looked at 31 key indicators of baseball fan-friendliness, which ranged from the performance level of teams to the average ticket price per game.

Los Angeles, home of the Boys in Blue, who are preparing for their second consecutive World Series appearance, ranked second on the list. New York took the top spot.

“Los Angeles is the second-best baseball city, with two MLB teams, the Dodgers and the Angels. Collectively, the two teams have brought home nine World Series titles, which ranks L.A. third among the cities with the most wins,” the study said in part. “The Dodgers have achieved eight of these victories, and the Angels only one. The average franchise value in L.A. is nearly $5 billion, with the Dodgers worth more than the Angels.”

The complete ranking can be found here.

The Dodgers will have a chance to be baseball’s first repeat World Series champions in a quarter-century after they swept the Milwaukee Brewers out of the NL Championship Series.

The Boys in Blue will face off against the Toronto Blue Jays in Toronto when the World Series begins on Friday.
