Former race driver Greg Biffle and members of his family were among seven people who died in a plane crash Thursday in North Carolina, state police confirmed. The business jet, which was registered to a company run by Biffle, erupted into a large fire when it hit the ground during an attempted landing at Statesville Regional Airport, roughly 45 miles north of Charlotte and the nearby Charlotte Motor Speedway.
