The forecast for All Hallows’ Eve is anything but frightful in Southern California.
KTLA’s Kaj Goldberg says temperatures will be mild throughout the evening, around 60 degrees by 8 p.m., followed by overnight lows in the upper 40s and 50s.
Those attending the Dodgers’ World Series victory parade on Friday will also enjoy nice, seasonable weather. The daytime high temperature for downtown Los Angeles will be 71 degrees with clear skies, Goldberg says.
The biggest “trick” in the forecast is that a low-pressure system initially expected to bring significant rainfall to Southern California is fizzling, according to the National Weather Service.
“The last several model runs have steadily pushed the track more to the east, which is a drier pattern for this area,” the Weather Service said in its daily bulletin on Thursday. “The number of ensemble solutions that show even light rain has significantly decreased over the last couple of days, and as a result, rain chances now are much lower than they were initially when there was a chance the low could track farther west.”
Goldberg said any rain will be light and limited to higher elevations on Saturday night.
Californians should remember to turn back the clocks Saturday night or Sunday morning as Daylight Saving Time ends.
